What’s it take to be a KD Farms mare?

What’s it take to be a KD Farms mare?

Well, put simply, disposition, personality, social skills. Sounds odd, for a horse? Not at all. While we, like any breeder, would want to show good confirmation, we’re more interested in those friendly, loving, easy-to-train horses that everyone adores a horse that can be part of a family for decades. Our mares enjoy children, running around and between their legs. They don’t care. They just love people.

We try to keep in mind the long, long life of an Icelandic. They just simply outlive virtually any other breed and look for caregivers who will be committed for up to forty years. Our horses bond. They are genuinely caring.

This is the true spirit of the Icelandic.
